This is an experimental 3D model of the recorded seismicity of Nepal, produced with tectoplot: https://github.com/kyleedwardbradley/tectoplot
tectoplot is a command-line tool built around GMT, GDAL, and other open source tools that makes it easier to download, manage, and plot various datasets related to seismotectonics. It is under early development.
The plotted seismicity data are from ANSS (https://earthquake.usgs.gov/data/comcat/). Focal mechanisms are from the Global Centroid Moment Tensor Catalog (https://www.globalcmt.org, the ISC Bulletin (http://www.isc.ac.uk/iscbulletin/search/fmechanisms), and GFZ (https://geofon.gfz-potsdam.de). The plate interface is from Slab2.0 (https://github.com/usgs/slab2), and topography is from SRTM30 (https://icesat.gsfc.nasa.gov/icesat/tools/SRTM30_Documentation.html).
The tectoplot command used to make this model (run on May 25, 2021) was: tectoplot -r NP -t -b -z -c -makeply maxsize 300
