Statue of Psyche and Zephyrs, Melrose Abbey

This marble statue of Pysche, a mortal woman in classical mythology who marries Cupid, being carried by Zephyrs, the West Wind, was made by the British sculptor John Gibson (1790–1866) and once stood in the lobby of the Abbey Hotel in Melrose. Today, it can be seen on display in Melrose Abbey gardens, in the Scottish Borders.
