The Great Polish Map of Scotland

In 2017 Historic Environment Scotland’s Digital Documentation Team was asked by the Scottish Government to digitally document the Great Polish Map of Scotland in Scottish Borders.

The project aim was to laser scan the map in 3D and create an interactive application for the centenary of Polish independence, celebrated in 2018.

A photo-realistic 3D model of the map served as a backdrop for annotations representing Scottish-Polish links, all presented here in Sketchfab.
