We really enjoyed our two night stay in Bagshaw Lodge. We had a friendly and helpful welcome from Georgina on arrival. Our room was very well equipped with tea making, a microwave, mugs, plates and cutlery. We agreed it had everything to make a longer stay very comfortable. It was very handy to have a place to leave the car as parking can be tricky in the town. The views from our room were worth the short but steep walk back up from the town center. We would very much like to stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 dogs. The location is great just a short walk into town. The building is beautiful and full of character. We were in the Devonshire suite which has 2 bedrooms and a well equipped kitchenette which is great as it allows you to be partly self catering and gives you a little bit more space to relax. We couldn’t fault anything about our stay here.||Bakewell itself is a lovely town and a great central location for exploring the area. We are already planning our next visit.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in September 2025. Our room was a reasonable size, clean, with a lovely view. It had a microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, plates & cutlery. Lots of info on sites to visit nearby was provided. The location is very near downtown and is quiet. Check-in requires a cellphone to call them as the front desk isn't staffed. Good powerful shower and good heating.

Excellent place to stay. Comfortable, clean, quiet. close to town centre.||Friendly staff.||Centrally based for sightseeing. Matlock Bath, Buxton, The Derbyshire dales. Great base for walking/hiking/cycling as the Monsal trail is within walking distance of the Hotel.

There are two buildings on the property- I stayed in the Lodge. Only saw staff at check-in, which was fine. Modern room, nice comfy bed and great tub to relax in. It's located up a pretty steep hill; kind of a surprise to find it up a narrow public path. Didn't stay for breakfast. A great spot out of the center of things to explore Bakewell.

What an outstanding experience!||This is a high-quality offering set in a great Bakewell location with views looking down into the town & across the valley. Just a few minutes stroll to the shops & restaurants.||We stayed in the Penthouse which was good value. Well-appointed & with a small kitchenette with everything you could reasonably need for a brief stay. Off-street parking, a big plus in the town.||Highly recommended & we will return.

What an absolutely stunning house. It's a converted manor house, in which they've got a good selection of rooms and suites for everyone. The rooms are smart, spacious, and just plain awesome. The lounge area is nice to relax in and the view from the garden over the village is sublime. Good location to town and plenty of parking. Would recommend for anyone who wants a fabulous stay in the country.

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was an ideal location. Up a hill so there were stunning views across the town to the green hills beyond but convenient for walking into town to eat in the evening. The room itself was a reasonable size with both wardrobe space and drawers for clothes, the fridge and kitchenette was adequate (we only used it for breakfast and making tea/coffee) and the bath with shower over was appreciated. The mattress on the bed may need replacing soon as we could feel the springs but we slept ok.
