Brilliant pub! Always a good pit stop when in Bakewell. The whole family visited last weekend and it was simply amazing. The service, the food and everything. Thank you. And also a mention to Henry! He’s a credit to you.

Went in today. Nice to get straight to the bar without it being crazy busy like in the summer. Friendly staff at the bar. Nice to get local 'Peak ales'. Bakewell best, Summer sovereign & Swift nick all very good beers. Not eaten here ourselves yet, but the food coming out from the kitchen looked good. Not stayed over, but we don't live that far away so can't comment on the rooms

Called in for a beer whilst having a lovely day in this beautiful town , went to the bar and waited for 10 mins at the bar as a young lad had said I was ok to wait there , a miserable woman behind the bar ,when I asked why others were getting served before me , said get in the que , with a tone of voice like I was a begger not a customer, we walked out and went next door and was greeted with a smiling face and great service , will definitely not be going again , it costs nothing to be polite after so many pubs lose there business from losing punters, just add ,the reply i got was another blame deflection , read all the owners replys !!! Always the Customer !! Never the owner !!

Nice room however my toilet backed up into the shower! It was dreadful! Some other people said the same so it wasn't just me! It really smelt! I did mention it to the owner on booking.com but haven't heard back. Reading some of the comments and the responses to the bad ones are quite shocking. So I don't expect my issue to be looked into. Re the comments, I didn't mention it as we arrived late and left at 6am. So no one was around once I had a shower in the morning. Also the other rooms were friends of mine hence why I know I wasn't alone. I messaged the booking.com messaging system in the morning to let you know as I had no other way of contacting you and I booked through that system.

Only went for drinks. Service was ok (lads collecting glasses and taking out food were incredibly polite and confident and really stood out). Good beer, great location and really enjoyed my time here. Would definitely visit again (Also, very clean despite being very busy)

Came here for dinner and ordered chicken strips and fried seafood. Nothing stands out from the food, it certainly came from frozen meats. However, the portion and the price were fair. The location was close to my Airbnb. It was just around the corner of the Bakewell town center.

We had a great meal , well presented and plentiful. I chose to order chips with my fish finger sandwich and really didn't need to ! They say fish fingers, but in reality it was 3 fish goujons, large and with crispy batter. The children's meals were presented with the same care as those for adults.|We chose to go late afternoon as the children are 3 and 5, there was no problem being there with them.|The Peacock is lovely, cosy and welcoming.|Thankyou
