We got in contact with Phil when our mischievous pup started barking at every outside noise whilst inside the house, and also when we were struggling with him pulling on walks. Phil was so helpful words cannot explain! He is so knowledgeable and his methods are not only fun for the dog/owner but genuinely work! I was skeptical of getting a dog trainer as I thought we had tried everything but after Phil came over for 2 sessions it was like we had a different dog. He also taught us how to prepare our pup for our newborn and since having our little one they have been the best of friends. We cannot thank Phil enough!

We met Phil for our dog training session with our 4 month old Saint Bernard last week. We needed advice and help on loose lead walking and settling Teddy down especially with his mouthing, he gave us so much information but everything he said was USEFUL information and so helpful. He had a great understanding of teenage dogs and also giant breeds which made me feel at ease knowing I was learning from someone who had experience with them. We have been implementing his training methods (all positive reinforcement and fun) and we are seeing a difference already. Thank you Phil!

Myself and my 6 month old Sprocker (Jasper) had amazing session with Phil at his morning for Recall and loose lead training. I honestly couldn’t recommend Phil highly enough. Very knowledgeable and very supportive with what was needed in the session. Seeing results already today with just one session but repeated the morning work out throughout the afternoon. I could not speak highly enough of Phil at Hammonds Hounds. Resource guarding from my Vizsla had got progressively worse to the point where we became more and more restricted to the house. Phil was up for challenging these behaviours straight away and taught me a few simple steps. Which with time, gave me the confidence to walk her unmuzzled soon after. The house also became a more peaceful place and it was very reassuring to watch my vizsla relax and progress. Phil genuinely wants to help and does it with such ease and expertise. I couldn’t put a price on the service he provided, and it happened to be the cheapest and fairest price I had come across from all the trainers I had tried in the past. Thank you so much Phil for all your time and patience.

Phil was a MASSIVE help when we first got our puppy. We were really struggling with lots of things - from pulling on the lead to behaviour around other dogs - but Phil's calm advice was perfect and has helped so so much. Would 100% recommend to any dog owners!

I could not put into words how highly i recommend Phil. Phil has so much knowledge and patience. My Labrador "Diesel" is unfortunately very nervous of other dogs and humans. Phil is currently working his magic on Diesel and showing me the correct training for Diesel to be more confident around other dogs and humans and enjoy his walks without panicking about the world around him. It is making myself and Diesel's walks a lot more enjoyable. Phil has also been teaching me loose lead training with Diesel as he tends to pull me over everytime i leave the house. This is coming on beautifully. We are both beginning to enjoy our walks with much less anxiety and no pulling me over everytime i leave the house. Phil has actually changed our lives. I couldnt thank him enough!😁

Phil has been an absolute star and his training techniques and support have been amazing! We have had 2 physical training sessions with Phil with my dog reactive Dogue de Bordeaux but alongside this we have endless support with new techniques and training games to help us in our journey to have a ‘normal’ walk and make B feel more comfortable when out in the big world! If you need a trainer, I highly recommend Hammond’s hounds and we lol forward to continuing our training with Phil!

100% would recommend Phil, he’s so kind and gentle with the animals, this is not just a job to him, he truly cares for them! I can sense that after only 2 sessions with him! We have learnt so much in very little time, and as a reactive dog owner I can see a difference, which I never thought would happen! Thank you Phil! ♥️☺️
