As a family we have been using Ocean Cottages for many years and the service we have received has always been excellent, efficient and above all friendly. As a family company it values customer loyalty and they are always willing to help to make the holiday from the initial booking to the stay as smooth and easy as possible. We are a family of 3 generations and we are always confident when booking with Ocean Cottages each family members need will be looked after, especially my 81 year old mum who has restricted mobility and walks with a stick. I would 100% recommend Ocean Cottages to anyone wanting peace of mind and excellent friendly customer service when booking a holiday.

Guests of Hideaway - Perfect for a family gathering! We have recently returned from a fabulous long weekend at Hideaway. It was the perfect cottage for a family gathering. We were nine adults, one baby and dogs. The rooms were all warm and spacious and were great to accommodate all three generations. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking for a large group and the pub was just a short walk away for having an evening off cooking! The cottage had lots of extras such as a travel cot, highchair, books, games and DVDs. An added bonus was that the garden was totally secure for our dogs!

Guests of Longboards - Great Service! We stayed in Longboards this year after staying in Croyde annually for many years on a local site. Due to ever increasing cost we decided to rent a house from Ocean Cottages which we felt gave much more for our money and cost us less! On arrival the house was beautifully clean and is well cared for. My son in law wanted to charge his car another reason we picked the property. Unfortunately the charger was not working, but I cannot fault the service we received. Prompt correspondence via message and a visit from the lovely Jane. The issue was solved by an electrician requiring a new part, we were kept informed and things happened when they said they would, really good customer service we were impressed. The house is in a great location 5 minutes walk from the village and easy access to the beach again about 5/10 mins walk. The house provided everything and more you could think of and is modern and nicely decorated. The hot tub was a treat and we used it everyday. All the beds were comfortable and good quality towels and linen used. The TV is a smart tele so have Netflix etc which was a bonus. Overall we loved the house, and location and shall book again next year. We go to Croyde every year with our daughters and son in laws for the ultimate chill and it never fails to provide that! Thank you again to Jane and the team at Ocean Cottages you were great!

Guests of Blue Pearl - Lovely place to relax and unwind. After a long journey , it was nice to arrive to a warm inviting holiday home . Everything was extremely easy to use and we settled in very quickly . It was spacious , clean and comfortable pleasant gardens and in a perfect setting to be able to forget the car and get to know Croyde on foot .. a great time had by all.

As an Owner of a property that has been let through Ocean Cottages for the past 10+ years, I can only shower praise on the team. As in all things in life, the journey may not always be smooth and I always judge a company not on how they are when all is good but when there is a challenge to deal with. No matter what, OC has always delivered. If you are thinking of renting a holiday property or an Owner looking to let your property, then I cannot recommend OC enough.

What an absolute shambles of a company. Will never be booking with you again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either. Myself and my husband found one of your places through Airbnb in Woolacombe and was looking forward to a much deserved weekend away with our little boy but you cancelled our stay. All because of YOUR own administrative error. You had THREE days to check what price we managed to book this for and because of some error that isn’t our fault, you cancelled our stay. We even provided you with personal details that you asked for in regards to the booking and you didn’t realise at that point what we had paid? Congratulations on punishing your clientele due to your own incompetence. You didn’t even give us the opportunity to pay what the stay should have been and straight away booked someone else in for 2 of the 3 nights we had planned to stay. Very poor customer service and communication. It’s funny actually how in reply to a poor review you state “we are a small, family-run business that takes customer service very seriously.” You would therefore know how detrimental this would be if that was the case. Me and my husband are both self employed and run our own businesses. If we were ever to make an error with costing something, we would take that on ourselves to make sure the customer stays happy, comes back again and explain that to them what happened not just disregard them straight off with a no. This could have easily been avoided as like I said you could have even asked us to pay the difference but no, you did the complete opposite. Please avoid at all costs unless you want your holiday to be a complete let down

Such a shame, I’d booked to stay at an apartment in Woolacombe managed by Ocean Cottages, I then received a message 4 days after my reservation to say they had cancelled my booking due to an “admin error” regarding the price it was listed for. They didn’t even offer me the accommodation at the correct price and it has now been booked by another party as it’s unavailable on the weekend we had chosen. I am really disappointed with what has happened here as my family and I, including our little boy, where really looking forward to our well deserved break, which has now been completely spoilt by an “admin error” by this company. Really poor service, if a mistake is made then I feel that the customer/consumer should not be punished for a mistake made on the companies end. Avoid at all cost if you are looking for a nice break away!

Guests of Nuthurst - We had a lovely 7 days in Croyde. NUTHURST was in an excellent location for both the beach (dog friendly from 1st October) and Croyde. Property was very clean, well provided for with ample room in the kitchen and living areas. Woodburner was well maintained and easy to use. Great to have the outside shower area to clean your dog and dry in the e closed rear garden. We recommend the Manor inn for Sunday carvery and the King's Arms in Georgeham both gave excellent service and good quality food, plenty of parking and dog friendly. Dropped in to the Thatcher for a few pints which just around the corner. We will definitely back again. Croyde is one of our favourite short break holidays destinations in autumn.
