Stoppers Roller Rink

My daughter and I visited for the first time this evening and had a great time! There was such a fun atmosphere and skaters of all abilities were having a great time on the rink. There’s a small, free car park in front of the building, with overflow capacity at the back of the building. On site, there’s a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, plus a range of fast food (including pizza, hot dogs and nachos). Skate hire is available, but you need to bring your own if you’re an online skater, as only quads were available to hire. There’s lots of space for spectators to sit. Thursday night is half price skating from 7pm.

My partner and I had the best time here! We are relatively new to roller skating and everyone from staff to other guests were beyond kind, helpful and encouraging! We aren't local but we really hope to make it to another skate session before leaving the area!

Took our grandchildren for their first roller skate. Aged 8 and 10 they could go on the skate rink by themselves. They both used a support frame to start with and were helped by the marshall to find their balance. After two hours they were much improved and really had a great time. They want to go again as soon as possible. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. We hired skates and pads.

I booked stoppers for my daughter’s 9th birthday and couldn’t recommend them more. We’ve tried most party venues in Barnstaple, but this was easily the best experience we’ve had. The kids had an amazing time, the food and drinks were delicious, and Erica and her team were absolutely fantastic. We’ll definitely be returning!

Took two girls 11 and 8 for the big ones birthday and we had such a warm welcome and a lovely time. The girls were very happy with the music choices and the only feedback from them was to mix up directions or add games. In terms of me and hubby (both skated too) we had a lovely time, great value for money as we spent hours there, the crew were so helpful with the little one as she wasn’t as confident. Drinks were reasonable too, we didn’t eat so I can’t comment on that. Other birthday parties in at the same time us but it never felt overcrowded, just fun. Will defo be coming back. Would even come back without the kiddos.

Had our daughters 1st birthday at stoppers roller rink today as a few of our family & friends love roller skating, the team were absolutely amazing at accommodating us by sectioning out an area for us, they cooked the most delicious pizzas & hot dogs our guests absolutely loved! My partner absolutely loved the milkshakes & to be fair they had a great selection of drinks at the bar! Erica made a little slideshow on the big screen aswell- those little details really made the day! I honestly can not recommend them enough! Thank you all so much! 😁

Great place for all skating levels. From beginners to advanced. I'd well recommend a visit skate hire available and even have aids for first-timers for support. They even do lessons if you want to get a head start. Nice relaxed place to sit and watch people skate by.

13 of us came to the Saturday roller disco for my best friends hen do and we had such a laugh, staff were amazing and really brought the fun! Would highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a fun activity to do
