Such a great find and experience! The Seagate is a great (busy!) pub and we had an excellent dinner. Sardines to start for me and Crab Prawn Orange salad for my wife, followed by Moby Dick and chips (fish!!) and Seaford Linguine for my wife. Chocolate Block Red was on the menu!! Perfect! Our server Tia was a perfect hostess: friendly, attentive and authentic. Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will be sure to recommend!

A warm and welcoming escape on a rainy evening! No coastal walk for us this evening but a visit to the Seagate more than made up for it - especially for our three pooches! From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. No need to keep your coat on here - it’s beautifully toasty with glowing fires and flickering candles creating a cosy, Pinterest worthy living room feel. The staff were cheerful and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious! The lovely landlady Ruthie, was so welcoming and received plenty of kisses and attention from our dogs, who were thrilled with their treats! Tia also gave them plenty of attention and was the perfect host! Thank you for turning a dreary Wednesday evening into such a happy and memorable experience. (The photo is of Ruthie and the dogs, the dogs smile and kisses say it all) We will be back!! X

The food at The Seagate was absolutely amazing! We had the trio Sunday dinner, and after not eating since the morning, it really hit the spot — delicious, hearty, and exactly what we needed. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive and really set us up perfectly for our day trip. I know I’ll be dreaming about this food tomorrow when I get home! A special thank you to Georgia for booking our table and being so accommodating when we were running a little late, and to Ruthie the landlady, who gave exceptional service and even brilliant advice on EV chargers for our journey. What a lovely experience overall — and they were so welcoming to our rather barky Jack Russell Terrier, which made it even more special. Highly recommend!

Experienced both evening dining & breakfast at The Seagate. Food is always delicious, good portions. Staff are attentive, friendly & professional. Dining areas clean & spacious with lovely decor & comfortable.

Superb estuary pub with outside seating. We stopped after our coastal walk. Very dog friendly. Good selection of ales and ciders.

We enjoyed a family birthday celebration & were royally looked after. The food was excellent service was very friendly & helpful, whilst leaving us to enjoy ourselves. Would definitely recommend it and we will be back. Thanks to everyone involved.

Really relaxing place with a long history. The food was delicious, we all had fish “catch of the day”. Nice quiet both indoor and outdoor seating

Cosy and dog friendly. We didn't eat this time just a Corona and a wine. Ate here about 11 years ago it had just been done up and from what I can remember it was lovely.
