Ocean Pitch Campsite

Couldn't speak more highly of this campsite. I'm only gutted I've not found it sooner. Staff/ owners are super friendly and helpful. The facilities are brilliant.. showers are warm and there's even a warm outside shower for when you're sorting out your wetsuit. It couldn't be closer to an amazing surfing beach (Croyde). Even for someone like me who likes to sit back and observe and read a book it's an environment where you feel part of something. The food options (Biffens and the Waffle truck) are both brilliant. Pitches are good with an amazing view of the sea. Will definitely be visiting again.

Super friendly welcome. Our pitch was the triangular one in the corner no 34 which was a tad tricky to reverse into but really good view over the hedge once in! Toilets and showers are "surf style" and really good hot and powerful. Also hot outside shower for after surfing. Lots of items you don't usually find provided free.. eg deodorant and ear buds! Wash up great too.also wetsuits etc to hire. The food truck is excellent.

As always, fabulous people hosting an amazing site! We come back again and again. Views from the pitches (this one is from pitch 28) are gorgeous - you know the sea is till there every day and how the waves are too! Location is ideal for the beach, easy walk into town too. The facilities are always clean, the showers are a perfect temperature and strong, and additional little touches in the washroom area. Site was full and the facilities were still enough! Additional warm shower outside to wash off the sea adds a welcome touch too - thanks and see you again (at least once) next year :) Food at Biffens is delicious and we also managed to pick blackberries on our walk back from town!

This campsite is absolutely fantastic. When we arrived we were greeted very kindly by a Wonderfull member of staff. During our stay the staff were just so helpful with anything you needed. The food from the onsite vans were very good. The view is also very good as if you look out you can see Croyde beach which is a wonderful sight. The facility’s are also wonderful as with the showers you don’t have to keep pressing it, you just turn the lever up and it stays running until you turn it off. The toilets and washing up area are also very clean. Such a perfect campsite!

Beyond lush week at Ocean Pitch, had everything we could want and more. 🚐 ☀️ 🏄‍♀️ The view, the vibes, the community, it’s all unreal. But what really makes this place special are the absolute genuines who run it. We only met Lottie, Bass (and Cheddar 🐾), but they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. When fridge decided to pack it in and stop working, they didn’t hesitate to help us out, and later they hung out and chatted while we were playing games. Always greeted with a smile, always up for a chat, the warmth and friendliness here make Ocean Pitch a truly rememberable place. Oh and Biffens Kitchen, what a gem to have on site!! We’re already planning our next trip back in 2026, and we can’t wait. If you’re thinking about where to stay in Croyde, stop thinking and just book Ocean Pitch. See you next season 🏄 🌅

We hadn’t visited for 5 years - last time in 2020 - prior to that we’d been regular visitors with our kids/ teens. Thanks to storm Amy we celebrated my husband’s birthday with one adult son and we had the best time (in spite of one night of wind and rain). Still a stunning location, fantastic clean facilities, amazing food and coffee available, new additions such as a fridge and freezer, the recycling bins etc and always, the people who run the site. Thank you

We are here now in pitch 34 and honestly I cannot fault the place! |Facilities are so clean |Outdoor showers too post beach, tubs to soak wetsuits. Board and wetsuit hire.|The whole team are so nice !||Variety of electric end non electric pitches, sizing of pitches very clear when you book.||We got pitch 34 booked only a couple of weeks ago ( presuming it’s a cancellation) but so delighted with space, privacy and location. ||Less than five min walk from beach.||Biffens kitchen on site is amazing too as is the waffle shack at night.||I would highly recommend this place, and my only thought as we leave tomorrow is when are we rebooking to return 😍😍

We were signposted to Ocean Pitch by friends who wanted to share a holiday with us in July. Usually we wild camp and go off season, so this was a new experience for us. From prior to our arrival the staff were incredible - checking in on us as we had yet to arrive (thanks broken down van!) and ensuring we had everything we needed to get set up without said van. The place is spotlessly clean, the showers are hot, the design is simple, clean and stylish. The owners clearly care and they only take people on to the team who also care. Having 3 children under 6 it felt safe for them to roam the site and find friends, order food from the food van, use the bathrooms, hire wetsuits. The proximity to the beach is a win for little tired legs, the food van on site is epic for breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus the pizza van that came to the field in front during summer season, and the craft markets that happened on a Tuesday - all meant that we didn't have to travel into Croyde on foot for food/activities if we didn't want to - its not far at all but my little people take long to get anywhere!! On booking I wasn't too keen on the idea of being pitched closely to others, but that concern was soon eradicated as everyone is so respectful and the site is quiet - I could listen to the ocean like I would if we were wild camping! We were only supposed to stay for 2 nights, but they couldn't get rid of us in the end - they went above and beyond to find us extra pitches when they were fully booked and we waited for cancellations. The kids were so pumped by the site and staff that we have booked another visit before this season ends - we cannot wait to come back!
