This has to be one of the best places in the UK to play golf. Played both courses over two days in a competition organised by NCG. You need to bring your 'A' game if you want to score well. No two holes the same and every one a challenge. Someone asked me which was my favourite course, which is like asking which is your favourite child. Food before and after was excellent.

Wow, what a golf course. Fantastic condition even after the brutal summer. Take lots of golf balls, the rough will make you pay. Nice beers and tasty food.

£175 a round to play courses in awful condition , I am very surprised to see such positive reviews. Yes it’s been dry, but these two courses look to have been well over played, to the extent anyone would think the U.S army had been training on them again . The photo below is comparable to all fairways , on either course. Such a shame -

Great location. Shame you cant see the sea, course layout is good with some fantastic holes. Greens were like lightning, and we were playing in February. Practice facilities were good. I have to say that I thought St Enodoc and Porthcawl are better layouts. Something missing here.

I've been lucky enough to have played here as a visitor from 20 odd years. It never disappoints. I don't know how you could choose between the East and West as to which is better. Both are 10/10 for me. Club house and Pro Shop are always bang on. I can't wait to return next year.

Amazing golf club. I played both courses over the weekend and each one was very exciting to play even though they felt quite different. The staff were very welcoming. Conditions were fantastic even though it had been raining for the whole month. My Grandad was captain here in the 80s so it felt extra special to play at the place he called home and to see his name on the wall.

I was a member there until mobility problems. I can honestly say that the East and West links are probably 2 of the finest you’ll find anywhere in these isles. The clubhouse offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere served with lovely food. You must try their “Saunton Cooler” , a truly unique refreshment only found here. Happy golfing !

Very scenic and challenging links course. You can do well if you stay out of the roughs with very long grass. But this is nearly impossible. Be prepared to lose a lot of balls
