Nice little back street locals pub on the outskirts of Braunton. We did not eat there, but we wish we had, the food looked amazing and smelled delicious. Good range of well-kept beers and ciders. Super friendly atmosphere, well worth the walk. Great beer garden.

We went here on Saturday for an evening meal and a birthday treat. We were not disappointed, each one of our party of 4 enjoyed our meals. Starters were just the right size and delicious, we all chose something different & everyone enjoyed it. Our main meals were also delicious, 2 of us enjoyed the rump steak with a pepper sauce & we were certainly full after! We also had a fish dish and a chicken dish. Everyone loved their meals and there were no complaints at all. (Compliments to the chef. 5⭐!). Our meal averaged £35 each for a starter, main each plus some shared sides. We got our drinks separately. My photography doesn't do the food justice! Staff were all friendly & it's now been done up to a be a lovely atmospheric pub. We live locally & will definitely be back, when we get a rare babysitter that is! 😉 Great place 😊

We've eaten in the pub before and really enjoyed it so we thought we'd try the newly opened restaurant, Driftwood, at the back of the pub. We weren't disappointed. The restaurant is cosy, welcoming and decorated beautifully with a coastal theme. Our food was fabulous and the service excellent. We both had 3 courses which were absolutely lovely. So much flavour and beautifully presented. This is definitely our new favourite place to eat locally.

We were staying in the area ( which we have several times before) ...we were unable to get a table for Sunday lunch at our 'usual' pub so we tried The Black Horse.Challenging to park nearby ...but well worth the effort.The food here was absolutely stunning! 😋😋😋😋😋 Hubby said the toast beef was superb and my nut roast was THE BEST I've ever had in all the 50 years of being a vegetarian! Then the lemon tart dessert was gorgeous 👌 Oh , and all.the staff were friendly and helpful 👏 Everything was perfect for us - we will return when next in the area ...💯%

Didn't eat so can't judge the food, but it's a lovely traditional pub. It's very welcoming from the outside and inside. I only stopped in for a couple of pints after a long hike and will endeavor to stay for a meal and a few more drinks next time. The few locals that were there were very friendly

Went for a family lunch here yesterday. I would like to say a massive thank you for an exceptional meal and service which the whole family agree with. Would highly recommend.
