After walking in this lovely area each day. Our group of four to six adults stopped for drinks late afternoon. Conveniently central to Croyde, this original old building serves a variety of local and branded drinks. Service is good. Had a three course meal from a varied menu. All were pleased with the service, quality and price. Catered for the vegan in our group without fuss. Try the Cajun chicken with pasta. Hot and tasty. Wash it down with local cider or wine from the menu. Very good!

Visited the Thatch for evening meal on our weekend break in Braunton as the pub said they allowed dogs. I want to just say this was a great venue with character and food was exceptional along with great service not sure of the guys name with the cowboy hat or the younger female who done tabe service but both are a credit to your business friendly and helpful couldn't do enough to make you feel a valued customer! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

★★★★★ An Unforgettable Stay at The Thatch, Croyde Bay We stayed at The Thatch for our wedding weekend and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We booked rooms for ourselves, our bridal and groom’s parties, and several wedding guests and everyone was blown away. The rooms were lovely, full of character, clean, and super comfortable. The staff were outstanding they genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. Every little detail was taken care of, and the service was warm, personal, and effortless. The included breakfast was phenomenal (seriously one of the best we’ve had!), and a special thank you for the complimentary Prosecco for our bridal party such a thoughtful and generous touch. We’re so grateful to The Thatch team for making our special weekend even more memorable. If you’re looking for a charming place to stay in Croyde with amazing food, top-notch service, and a welcoming vibe this is it. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Fantastic Sunday lunch! There was a mix up with my Son's order which meant there was a delay in his lunch coming out. The staff apologised immediately and said his order would be removed from the bill. We wouldn't have made a fuss but were most impressed by the quick action taken. The lunch was of very good quality with lovely fresh veg. Will definitely eat here again!

This has been a staple pub visit whilst on holiday in Croyde for years, to sit in the garden with a pint of cider and enjoy the ambiance! Not visited area for over four years and this lovely old pub did not dissapoint! Sitting outside this lovely thatched pub with a pint in the sun was really lovely! And the food had really improved! Four of us really enjoyed our lunch! It was busy but where served in a very timely manner with big smiles from the waiting staff!

I had the filet steak special, it was cooked to perfection medium-well, much better than I have just experienced in an actual steak place in London. Also, the presentation on the plate with the very tasty sides was much more inviting than receiving an oversized plate with just a steak on it - as just experienced - you guess - in London. Thanks for the very enjoyable meal cooked to perfection.

40 years since last visit and was delighted to see still the same cool vibes and atmosphere. Stayed across the road and had cream tea, dinner and breakfast there. All top notch! Wonderful memories of this place replicated again. Thanks all

Food was plentiful for the price, nice ambience and very friendly and attentive service. Quality of food was up there albeit the chicken burger could have done with more flavour IMO. My partners pork dish looked unreal tbf. Well priced drinks and not stung in the slightest. Overall pleasant experience and would recommend as up there with the best in Croyde for a family dinner.
