Frank was boss with the small group, me and my two brothers had a great lesson with him, he was well spoken, respectful and inquisitive with the students. He taught concisely and gave us enough free rein to learn at our own pace and make our own mistakes. 10/10 Franks the man

An incredible activity, and an absolute must if you are looking for an amazing and unforgettable experience. The family had a complete blast, with my youngest stating that the surfing was even better than ‘A world made of chocolate’!! Staff were encouraging, engaging, and safety conscious, without removing the fun. The kit was well maintained and cosy wetsuits far outweighed any ocean chill. This is definitely a day to remember for a long time to come. We will be back!!

Walking on Waves is amazing. The team of instructors are all exceptional. Both my son and I have had lessons here and they take the time and effort to make sure you really enjoy the surfing experience, whatever your level. All the team are incredibly welcoming and helpful, the equipment is in great condition, even the booking/payment system is easy :)

Over the summer we took part in a number of surf lessons with Walking on Waves. The group had a mixture of abilities, with mostly beginners experiencing their first ever surf! Frank led us on a 3 lesson progression, and his skills and understanding was brilliant. People were standing up on their first lesson, and Frank was great at encouraging us and showing us how to improve and move to the next level. We've also had a lesson from Ollie which was great, both instructors have been amazing, and we look forward to coming back! Big thanks to Jack, and all the instructors at Walking on Waves. 5*

Absolutely brilliant experience would 100% recommend! Went with my two daughters 12 ,16 and 45 (6 students in our group)and our tutor Rudy had us all up standing and riding the waves within the first couple of waves. He took time with each of us individually giving advice and support to give us the best experience on the waves. Didn't expect to be able to stand up on the board on our first lesson so all three of us were so chuffed when we spent the majority of the lesson riding waves into the beach. The team as a whole were so encouraging and even though they do this every day they made us feel like we were off to have the best time and on our return were super excited and and made us feel like we had become surf chicks. Absolutely lovely bunch of people.

A friend and I booked a private lesson today after mainly surfing in wave pools, we wanted to start improving in the sea. We had Ollie for a 90 minute lesson. It was fantastic, we learnt so much and can’t wait to come again. As it was a private lesson, it was tailored to our skill level which was really helpful. Learning about positioning in the line up, surf etiquette, how to read the waves, reading surf reports and improving our surfing in the water. Honestly was the best day, we had so much fun and will be back again! Would highly recommend for intermediate surfers wanting to improve. Thanks so much Ollie for helping us catch our first sea waves 🙌🏻🌊🏄🏼‍♀️

My friend and I had a 2 on 1 lesson with Jack and it was one of the best times we’ve had! With some basic knowledge we had prior he helped us build our confidence and skills immensely in just 1 lesson. Was very informative but also a really amazing time! We’d definitely have another lesson once we’ve worked on the skills he’s taught us. Thank you Jack for the best time!
