Alissa (Not sure how you spell the name), was very helpful with giving me advice on selling/trading in my laptop and showing me where my specific items were. Paul was very helpful selecting a keyboard, he opened up a locker to show me what was in stock and explained how each one was different. Very happy with the customer service.

Went to Currys Kettering to look for a replacement TV and potentially a upright freezer. We were in there a good 15 minutes. Not one member of staff asked if we required any help and basically talking at the tills in the front. My husband eventually asked a member of staff that was walking with a cup of tea if anyone if actually working here. He went and spoke to the cluster of workers and none of them seem to bother so we left. We then went to the Riverside Store where they couldn't have been more helpful and brought both so on today's experience I will never use Kettering again

Great service from David at the Kettering store on 20th May 2025. He was most obliging and agreed to come out of the store with a USBC cable, to ensure it linked up to my car before I purchased it. He was very accommodating and helpful. 😁

Riverside. Well firstly, polite as pie on my side. But I just do not want sales people until I need them. Trying variouse portable devices, mainly tablet or laptop device. Weight and feel is important and thereason to purchase from a shop. First device is picked up and it is on a stalk but I can get a the tactile feel of the of it. Move along try another it does not pick up. I try the first again, as I often do not use enough force due to arthitis I often and try to gauge the force that should be required ( i.e is it sticking). Off goes a blaring over loud alarm. I carry on looking and put my earbuds in. After some initial faff a person arrives - he then implies there is some intent to sue them (I have said zero to him at this point). My reply yes it is over loud but I have put my noise cancelling ear buds in. I explain it is strange and confusing - the difference for holding the devices. Shops sole purpose is to handle the devices. He told me to go shop online then. He does this with poor tone and dismissive manner. Then goes on with no prompting. Well sir they are here to protect us from disreputable people, pointedly looking and seeming to implying I am one of those. I just move from him. The only thing "disreputable" about me is I am a man with very long femine hair wearing a in your face pride t-shirt. I say, just giving you feedack you are not listening to, continue shopping. However he decides he needs to "suppervise" me. Then proceeds to stand there using the same intimidating pose as a bouncer. I felt like asking if they had a bathroom just to see the response. I did ask him for his name to clearly feed back. He then started to agressively demand mine. I explained he does not need it, He continues with his agressive tone and body movement and posistion. When the manager arrives, I again try to move away from the intimidating Currys rep. The manager bizzarly then charcterises my lifting the device as "aggressive". I state that is a strange word to use, almost like agression is to mind and you place it as my feet. I move to explain the very simple problem. He then a accidently exemplfies it, by forcefully lifting up the one which does actual lift. I go yes exactly what I did and then tried one that doesnit lift, I am not a disreputable customer. The collegue starts in again, I do not want to enage. He starts prodding his finger at me. I ask his manager to get him to modify his interaction. The manager then goes he is not a dog. Me really as his manager you are ok with your employee agressively pointing with a stabbing finger at me. Manager claims he does not think that is agressive. Well ok I try to disenage yet again with I can shop anywhere and good luck with the customer service. They have blocked my path to leave - but apperently that is not agressive either. I turn180 degrees away from them and try to circle away from them yet again. I get pursued. He then strips his stuff and I will be waiting. Outside. Me why? Reponse You outside. I go to the manager - he is aware that violence is a criminal act. I am just going to call the police - I neglected to go really you do need to sort out your respect training and what agression is. Or at the very least stop chasing a customer around the store making caustic remarks and trying to intimidate them. I am sure your cameras show a customer trying your products and trying to stay away from your repsentative and trying to leave your building. And yes the report is to be sumbimitted to the police because randonomly threatening violence is also illegal. But apparently you do not feel it is your job to stop staff's agressive behaviour. And asking the manager to stop it is comparable to dog training - no just training full stop. I gave it a few minutes, made it clear I am just going to call the police, you may want to interevene. In some fairness they did correl him in a corner of the carpark whilst I made my escape. It was like some weird brunken brawl. Whilst somebody is trying to get at somebody for looking at them funny. As you can guess bye bye to my custom.
